Twins?
[edit]Were they twins, and there are two versions of their conception, or not, in which case perhaps the mother changed seduction strategies between their births?

so i can't tell if that is Homer's poetic wording or an awkward translation from Greek of a description intended to say simply "at an age when they had no beards whatsoever." I simply reworded.
