Importance

[edit]

Being bold and assigning this as top importance on the grounds that she made a fundamental discovery creating a new field. She edited the major international journal in her field and while she might not have achieved household-name status, she was a woman scientist working basically outside the university system who happened to publish at the same time as probably the most fundamental biomedical paper of the 20th century. I've looked at other top rated Women Scientists in the project and it does not seem to be completely out of line. Other editors from the Women scientists project might be able to bring any further consideration to bear. JBVaughan (talk) 03:02, 17 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
