199 Casualties?
[edit]Is there a source for the casualties? This article mentions 199 Commonwealth troops buried there but it is unclear if their deaths can be characterised as part of the occupation or if they died separately in the North Atlantic. [edit]As Denmark was occupied and king Christian X was not free in his decisions under German occupation iceland drifted away from Denmark and declared independence in 1944.
