[edit]To say that it is ranked 21 is dishonest. The ranking system only goes up to 20 and then ranks the next group as A++. By that logic, over a dozen schools could say they are number 21. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.227.184.196 (talk) 06:33, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
How can you say that , when there is nation wide survey to support the ranking ,evidence has already been provided , moreover this is a fact that Alliance stands on A++ ratings as far as other Private B schools are concerned. Please recheck the fact sheet and we can then discuss this further. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mohitgupta331wiki (talk • contribs) 07:56, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Global
[edit]Short Term International Programs Short-term International Programs offer students a multitude of opportunities for personal and intellectual growth. It has been observed that students who have spent between two weeks to a full semester studying in another country report a greater understanding and appreciation of other cultures and customs, a heightened awareness of their country's identity and place on the world stage and a better idea of what is required to be a "global citizen."
Semester Exchange Program
Alliance University’s Semester Exchange Programs enables students to study abroad for a semester while simultaneously hosting a student from a partner university. These programs provide students with the opportunity to complete a semester or a term of their academic programs in an international partner university. As a result of immersion in a foreign academic, cultural and business environment, students maximize learning to operate effectively in a global setting.
Under the Semester Exchange Program, students attend one of the partner institutions of Alliance University for an academic semester. Through the exchange program, students experience a global environment, a different culture and a diverse learning approach. The Semester Exchange Program is demanding as well as rewarding. While many of the exchanges focus on particular academic areas, others also offer a broader curriculum that allows a student to complete coursework that is not available through other avenues. These options present an exciting opportunity for students to pursue a more independent style of learning and cultural engagement. English is the language of instruction for all exchange programs.
International Summer School
Summer programs are a popular study abroad option among student groups who seek an intensive learning experience in an international setting. In the three to four weeks that these students spend in a foreign country, they go on to make a new set of friends, see new places, visit business organizations, learn a few phrases in a foreign language while at the same time acquire knowledge that is specific to their domains. The curriculum is designed to allow students to learn, experience and explore foreign cultures, thereby making their visits truly enriching.
Long Term International Programs Long-term International Programs can extend from a minimum of one year to a maximum of two years of study at one of the partner universities of Alliance University. These long-term International Programs are intensive and also allow for intern-ships to students in reputed companies. Such intern-ship opportunities afford the students the best possible exposure to the global corporate sector. Recruiters around the world seek student graduates who come to them with varied academic exposure.
Long-term International Programs at Alliance University work as pathways for students to receive a dual degree or an exclusive degree (Credit Transfer Program) from any of its institutional partners abroad.
Dual Degree Programs *
In today’s global labour market, graduates with two degrees from two countries are one step ahead of the competition. At Alliance University, students have the opportunity to pursue a Dual Degree Program in conjunction with some of its top partner universities. Through the Dual Degree Program, students experience the best of both worlds, and benefit from the two degrees simultaneously.
Credit Transfer Program Upon joining an undergraduate or postgraduate course of study at Alliance University, students who wish to pursue an international degree can opt to seek that degree from any one of Alliance University’s prestigious international partner institutions. Students are required to complete a minimum period of study at Alliance University—at least one academic semester and, upon meeting the stipulated academic requirement, the Office of International Affairs, Alliance University, shall initiate the transfer of credits of the student towards the degree at the partner university. The rest of the Program is undertaken at that partner university and, upon successful completion, the student graduates with a degree awarded by the chosen partner institution. Along with the international degree, the experience of thinking critically and creatively about the most defining issues in global enterprise and the development of personal leadership abilities to effectively manage complex work-place environments, are skills highly valued by potential employers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allianceuniversity2017 (talk • contribs) 12:44, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Change alliance university chancellor name from Sudhir . G Angur to Madhukar Angur Change alliance university website from www.alliance.edu.in to www.allianceuniversity.edu.in 171.76.93.148 (talk) 03:20, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
- Question: According to www.alliance.edu Sudhir G. Angur is the chancellor but Dr. Madhukar G. Angur is the chancellor, according to www.allianceuniversity.edu.in. Which is the correct website? DRAGON BOOSTER ★ 04:04, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
This is correct one www.allianceuniversity.edu.in kindly update Allianceblr21 (talk) 20:01, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
Website & postholders
[edit]Good question in the last thread DRAGON BOOSTER It seem the university is maintaining both sites, but only updating allianceuniversity.edu.in
I looked at the Vice Chancellors:-
- alliance.edu.in here states the VC is Dr. Pavana Dibbur on a page which is copyrighted 2015
- allianceuniversity.edu.in here states the VC is Dr. B K Ravindra who "assumed the office of the Vice Chancellor of Alliance University on 19th September 2016" and this page is copyright 2016
I am not sure why editors have reverted to the old site - either they are unaware of the new site and changes to the staff, or they are just using the old site to support vandalism, - Arjayay (talk) 12:30, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Arjayay and DRAGON BOOSTER: Please look at this this conversation: User_talk:NeilN/Archive_36#Alliance_University I am willing to semi-protect the article again if you think it could help. --NeilN talk to me 16:50, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- NeilN - Thanks for the link to The Hindu article which gives some background to the problem, but that article was "last updated October 18, 2016". Not knowing what the current situation is, I am not sure if we would be protecting the "right" or the "wrong" version of the page.
I assume the recent edits by User:122.167.84.110 were a misguided attempt to protect the page, presumably in its current version.
Without a more recent reliable source as to what is currently happening, I think semi-protection would allow us to add a reference to the Hindu article and state that the current situation is "unclear". This may not be an ideal solution, but seems better than taking sides and promoting one claimant over the other.
Do we have an experienced local Bangalore editor who can advise us of the current situation? - Arjayay (talk) 18:53, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

- NeilN + DRAGON BOOSTER I have tried to explain the "family feud", using direct quotes from The Hindu and the two websites; removing the chancellor and website from the infobox and listing both websites in the External links. I have tried to be "even handed" but the quote from alliance.edu.in needed to be longer to include the section on payment of fees, in order to contrast with the statement from allianceuniversity.edu.in.
Could you please check this section over, to ensure we are not "taking sides" - any suggestions/alterations welcome - thanks - Arjayay (talk) 10:03, 20 April 2017 (UTC)- @Arjayay and NeilN: Thanks for keeping me posted, (sorry.. been busy), When I was answering the edit request on March 9, 2017, I found out there are two different websites with different university chancellors. I responded with a question and waited for further discussion leaving edit request open and left the article as it was. May be I should have removed the chancellor and website in the infobox then, until it was resolved. Most edits to this page are related to the interchange of these two website links, such as this and this. With the inclusion of the "Family feud", the article looks better in terms of neutrality and completeness for now. regards, DRAGON BOOSTER ★ 12:46, 23 April 2017 (UTC).

More sources
[edit]I fleshed the articles with some more sources and data about the feud. If someone wants to flesh the story a bit more, here are some more sources: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] --Muhandes (talk) 19:02, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

[edit]According to university grants commission alliance.edu.in is the registered website and chancellor is prof.Sudhir G. Angur. So I have change the detail in infobox Bullus 10:50, 9 December 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bullus (talk • contribs)
- Ihis argument has been rumbling on for a considerable time - with each side presenting different claims as to what the "truth" is. Until there is a clear, undisputed, statement that the conflict has been resolved, I think we should stick to the neutral version. - Arjayay (talk) 10:54, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
- whatever the truth is but we can't deny the recognition and affliction. The allianceuniversity.ac.in is not recognized by UGC or any other organizations body and if you see the website it created recently family feud is different details about university is different. So please change to correct one Bullus 11:32, 9 December 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bullus (talk • contribs)
- @Bullus: I added the source you provided to the "Family feud" section.
As far as I am aware, this listing is from 2010 and the feud started in 2016, so I don't see how it can serve as evidence that there is no feud.Although listing Dr. Pavana Dibbur as the VC might be seen as if the UGC took side in this feud, I still agree with Arjayay that neutrality should be kept. We will list it as under feud until the feud is settled. --Muhandes (talk) 18:24, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Bullus: I added the source you provided to the "Family feud" section.
Primary souces
[edit]Please do not use any primary sources in this page. When there is this kind of dispute we need to aim high with sourcing; see Wikipedia:Controversial_articles#Raise_source_quality and the rest of that helpful essay. Jytdog (talk) 15:48, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
Updates
[edit]User:Muhandes, User:Jytdog A few things to notice and make clear on the page.
- Brother: It does not specifies who is the brother and with dispute tough to determine. Can you from change "his brother was the president." to "his brother, Sudhir Angur was the president ", it will make more sense to the readers
- All universities in India have a legal status only when they are approved by UGC, here is the link of https://www.ugc.ac.in/uni_contactinfo.aspx?id=537 which display the actual and recognized website by the authorized body of Indian government.
- Dispute: "As of March 2018 litigation between family members over control of the university was pending in the High Court." is still not correct, here is the url to refer details
- "point 48 – clearly shows Mr. Madhusudhan Misra as Registrar, upheld by the court", "point 56 & 57 – court has upheld the injunction order against Madhukar Angur". 157.37.160.239 (talk) 06:01, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

November 2018 checkin
[edit]I cleaned out a bunch of promotional cruft that had been added and restored well-sourced negative information that had been removed, and went looking for any new independent sources. The last one I found was the last one used in the article, from March 2018 about students requesting refunds. If anybody is or becomes aware of independent sources about what is happening, please post them. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 18:47, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
