Reasoning
[edit]The Allen Crane article should not be deleted because it satisfies at least 1 'music notability' requirement in every category and satisfies 7 total 'music notability' requirements outlined at Wikipedia:Notablility (music).
Support
[edit]The relevant Wikipedia:Notablility (music) requirements that are satisfied include:
Musicians and ensembles

- Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.
- Has won or placed in a major music competition.
Composers and lyricists
- Has credit for writing or co-writing either lyrics or music for a musician or ensemble that qualifies above.
- Has had a work used as the basis for a later composition by a songwriter, composer or lyricist who meets the above criteria.
- Has written a song or composition which has won or placed in a major music competition not established expressly for newcomers.
Others
- Has been a significant musical influence on a musician or composer that qualifies for the above list.

Help
[edit]If this article is technically or academically verbose or perceived to contain frivolous facts, please make suggestions for improvment instead of deletion.
- Please do not take it personally. The article seems to lack the notabillity to meet WP:MUSIC. As you have stated your interest in it not being deleted you might contact the user who placed the speedy on it about it being placed on Afd as stated in their edit summary.
- Please provide reliable references, as the current references only link to other wiki articles and to websites' main page. Thanks.--Andeh 19:11, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Andeh, thanks for you consideration; FYI, I am working on updating the references to more specific sources. I will send you a message upon completion so that you may review and make additional suggestions.
- Please provide reliable references for the bands notability such as album releases/record deals/concerts etc. Nothing else is needed, otherwise it still meets speedy deletion criteria. Thanks.--Andeh 19:29, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- I think this should be moved into a drafts page until you've referenced it properly. I don't know who thinks putting google.com as a reference is appropriate but it most certainly is not. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 19:31, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your guidance. I am working on the appropriate references at this time. FYI, Google is the first reference example listed in the wikipedia guidelines. But I will refrain from using it.
- Google.com is a search engine, it's not a reference. I'm not sure where you've got that idea from but it is not correct. I am going to delete this page and put it in a drafts page so you can take your time to reference it correctly before it's moved back here. Also, WP:MUSIC is a guideline, whereas verifiability is an official policy and one of the three cornerstones of Wiki. As Andy has said, this must be referenced with cited verifiable sources. FWIW, I cannot find a single article on Factiva about this group. That in itself is a concern. Sarah Ewart (Talk) 20:07, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- I have read the verifiability policy and am in the process of editing the article to comply.--Kittyw 20:40, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- To substantiate notability:
- removed unverifiable and irrelevant verbiage
- added verifiable discographies for all members
- added verifiable release details --Tommiwarner 14:59, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Added All Music Guide discographies for all members.--RockBassPlaya 14:11, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
