Cleanup
[edit]This article has been tagged for cleanup since 2008. It will be getting it soon. Please familiarize yourself with the school article guidelines before editing this article any further. You will find them at WP:WPSCHOOLS/AG. Gtwfan52 (talk) 05:14, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
- OK, the article is now cleaned up. Please use the stuff in the "Allen-Stevenson in the news" section as a starting point to create a new history section. I cannot emphasize this enough: This is an article about this school, intended for the entire English speaking world to use as a reference; It does not in any way belong to the school, and it is definitely not to be used a a publicity tool for the school. Anything in this article needs to conform to school article guidelines and be written in a neutral tone. Thanks! Gtwfan52 (talk) 07:57, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
- I have responded to an OTRS query about this. The school clearly wants a promotional article, and cannot have it; they have been instructed to confine their editing to the talk p. At the same time, I told them that I think a little too much material has been removed. We usually do include a history section, and for undisputed facts rather than opinions the school's own sources are adequate. I will restore it briefly. Some idea of the academic program and school activities is also appropriate. I'll edit according, when I get around to it, unless Gtw or some other good independent editor gets there first.
- I rolled back a school edit restoring the material. If it should happen again, I will block and protect, but if I do that I can no longer edit the article. DGG ( talk ) 17:53, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
- I restored what I thought was reasonable. The in the news section should be integrated to the article body as appropriate. Candleabracadabra (talk) 19:02, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, DGG and Candleabracadabra. Please watchlist this as I have had a computer failure and be offline for a few weeks. Thanks. Gtwfan52 (talk) 20:22, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
