- Comment:
I may also write an article for AIIMS Deoghar if I find enough material, but the clock is ticking on AIIMS Kalyani so I made this nomination. ALT1 will then be changedThis was originally a two article DYK, now it is three as I creates the third one. ALT2 no longer appears to make sense so I withdrew it. - Regarding authorship, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyani was created from a redirect on 26 November 2019, and then completly rewritten by myself. I left credit for the original author as well, although almost no prose of their version remains. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bibinagar and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar were authored by myself, the latter created from a redirect.

- The articles look good, QPQs all done, the only issue is that the hooks are long and boring. Are you able to propose different hooks for each article, I feel they would be more interesting. Kingsif (talk) 00:37, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Kingsif: Perhaps I can create three different hooks, but I thought this subject is not interesting enough to deserve three different DYK mentions, and actually the multitude in one hook is more interesting. I agree it is quite long, so how about we go for just the cities:
- ALT3 ... that six All India Institutes of Medical Sciences started operation in India in 2019, in Bathinda, Bibinagar, Deoghar, Gorakhpur, Kalyani and Raebareli?
- ALT3a ... that six All India Institutes of Medical Sciences started operation in India in 2019, including ones in Bibinagar, Deoghar and Kalyani?
- ALT4 ... that six All India Institutes of Medical Sciences started operation in 2019, one in Punjab, Telangana, Jharkhand and West Bengal but two in Uttar Pradesh, in the cities Gorakhpur and Raebareli?
- ALT4 ... that six All India Institutes of Medical Sciences started operation in 2019, including ones in Telangana, Jharkhand and West Bengal?
- ALT3 ... that six All India Institutes of Medical Sciences started operation in India in 2019, in Bathinda, Bibinagar, Deoghar, Gorakhpur, Kalyani and Raebareli?
- I think these are reasonably interesting, and of course I'm open to any other suggestions. --Muhandes (talk) 01:31, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- Those are interesting hooks, I'm happy to approve them on good faith for source (the six schools are mentioned in the three articles), the issue is just that not all six schools have articles, which makes it a little strange. If you can't think of anything better (I saw at least one of the mention Modi, for example, which is quite interesting), Alt3 or 4 are both fine. Kingsif (talk) 01:34, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Kingsif: Actually all six institutes have articles, but only three are new. I see what you mean though, and I don't think 5x is an option at this point, so I added ALT3a and ALT4a which mention only the three new articles. I'm not sure which one works better, I suggest we let the sorting admin make that decision. I can also suggest three separate hooks for the individual articles below (ALT5) if you think this is more appropriate, but I would personally prefer a single hook, if ALT3, ALT3a, ALT4 and/or ALT4a can be approve.
- ALT5 (multiple hooks)
- ... that All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bibinagar was officially approved by the union cabinet in December 2018 at an estimated cost of ₹1,028 crore (US$120 million)? Source:"Cabinet approves establishment of two new AIIMS at Tamil Nadu & Telangana under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana". Press Information Bureau (Press release). 17 December 2018. Retrieved 2 December 2019.
- ... that the foundation stone for All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar was set in May 2018 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi? Source: "PM thanks land of kala heera". www.telegraphindia.com. 26 May 2018. Retrieved 4 December 2019.
- ... that All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyani was announced in 2014, approved in 2015, started construction in 2016, and started operation in 2019? Sources: Announced: "5 more IIMs, IITs and four more AIIMS to be set up". Hindustan Times. 10 July 2014. Retrieved 4 August 2017.; Approved: "Centre approves AIIMS-like project at Kalyani in WB". Retrieved 28 November 2019.; Started operation: "Establishment and Upgradation of Hospitals under PMSSY". pib.gov.in (Press release). Press Information Bureau. 3 December 2019. Retrieved 4 December 2019.
- Anyway, I think we gave plenty of viable options here, please approve. --Muhandes (talk) 10:32, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, lots of good hooks - any of the alts mentioning just the three are good, but I do have a preference for the separate ones, which are interesting! Nice one, Muhandes. Kingsif (talk) 13:44, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
