Redirect or article ?

[edit]

This page seems to be bouncing backwards and forwards between a redirect and an unsourced page. If you intend to create a page about the history of the term, then you need to supply references and sources which can substantiate this. One of the three policies of Wikipedia states "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—that is, whether readers are able to check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether we think it is true. Editors should provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is challenged or likely to be challenged, or the material may be removed." (my italics). Wikipedia has several policies and guidelines to help with this which you may like to read, such as Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Please don't just add text to the page without providing some proof of the usage and then get annoyed when editors (quite correctly) remove the article - they are just following WP guidelines. I've just changed the article to a disambiguation page as I suspect there could be future arguments over articles/redirects - hopefully, this will preclude any such disagreements ! CultureDrone (talk) 12:40, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
