Chart number
[edit]No, it didn't make number 1, only no.5, according to everyhit.com and someone I know's book of chart history. Crobzub 21:26, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Hard Times of Old England
[edit]This track links to a Newfoundland folk song Hard, Hard Times which I'm pretty sure is NOT the same song (or related). Could someone more knowledgeable proof this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:5B95:FA01:1B:5F06:A55A:9A30 (talk) 08:13, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
Controversy
[edit]This album was controversial when it was released - it horrified the existing Steeleye fanbase. The Mike Batt production in particular was felt to be completely insensitive and inappropriate (he was best known for Remember You're a Womble). Maddy Prior admitted that AAMH and Rocket Cottage were conscious attempts to move away from their traditional folk origins and become a mainstream pop/rock act. They didn't really regain credibility with fans until they recruited legends Martin Carthy and John Kirkpatrick and recorded Storm Force Ten.
I've tried to find good refs covering this but haven't been able to uncover any, so this is all anecdotal for now. Can anybody help? Ef80 (talk) 11:08, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
