Updating my biography
[edit]Can you advise how I update my biography as I can't figure it out. I (now) understand you don't want me to do this directly as a line I added on my high school has been deleted. Ok this doesn't have an on-line verification but the school was correct. There are some other correct statements I would like to add for which I might not be able to find on-line verification. I also don't want to add any further information on awards etc without knowing if they will be deleted so will wait to make any further revisions until you reply. Many thanks Alisonnoble1 (talk) 20:22, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
Suggested updates to my biography for consideration
[edit]My biography has recently been created (thank you). I would like the following facts to be considered for entry giving reasons why below. Thank you.
Education I was a pupil at Maidstone Girls Grammar School. Reason for request: This is a (UK) state system grammar school which has a wikipedia page.
I coxed the Oxford Women's Lightweight crew in the Henley Boat Races race of 1985. Reason for request: a non-academic fact about me.
Research/Career I was elected the first female Statutory Professor in Engineering at Oxford in 2011.
I am a Trustee of the Oxford Trust (elected 2015) and IET (the Institution of Engineering and Technology) (elected 2016). I was the President of the Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Interventions (MICCAI) Society from 2013-2016.
Honours/Awards I am an Honorary Fellow of Oriel College, Oxford (elected 2017). I am a MICCAI Society Fellow (2012). I was the first recipient of the Laura Bassi Award of the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering in 2015.
- Hello @Alisonnoble1: Thanks for the extra information, which will be added. It's useful to have sources where possible, and I found one for Maidstone Grammar, see WP:CITE, cited edits are less likely to be revoked by editors Duncan.Hull (talk) 11:44, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
