INFO
[edit]Just created, will add more info soon, going to create the first movies score page now. Terrasidius (talk) 00:50, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Gayane ballet suite
[edit]I changed this slightly. The score does not include this music at all. What it does do is make allusions to it. Some might even say it rips it off but to be generous (or even correct... the intention may make a difference!) I've simply said it "alludes." 108.202.113.201 (talk) 02:21, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- You are being very generous using the phrase 'makes allusions' to.. It's a shameless plagiarism of Khatchaturian! Had Horner merely wished to pay homage to it (and to 2001 as is often claimed) he could have credited Khatcahturian, but he does not. That is plagiarism, pure and simple. Passing off someone else's work as your own. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:6C26:7C00:F077:29C8:B6A4:6813 (talk) 23:53, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Release Date
[edit]Some sources say 1986 and others 1987. I think domestically in the US it was '86 and, as is the usual case, released other places the following year. Nevertheless, I can't find any verification for this in this particular instance. 108.202.113.201 (talk) 02:26, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- The release year should remain as 1987 until a source can be found to support the 1986 date - see WP:VERIFY. mgiganteus1 (talk) 12:55, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
ST: Wrath of Khan Comparisons
[edit]The article should note the comparisons between James Horner previous work in the Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan sountrack. I think he previously stated in an interview that because of time constraints in the Aliens production and unrealistic deadlines made by James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd, he had to cannibalize his star trek soundtrack work to save time in composing the new work. Can anyone provide the source interview? Symbolicpt (talk) 09:26, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
