Marriage?
[edit]Did she ever marry? The article currently claims that she did, writing, Lambert married Joseph Ransburg in 1912. They had two daughters: Victoria (born 1914) and Josephine (born 1916)
These claims are unsourced, however. I have some sources that claim otherwise (my emphasis):
“ | The rebuff of [Tom Thomson's] marriage proposal to Alice Lambert, the highly strung and imaginative daughter of a minister, seems to have been the cause of his sudden return to Canada. Although they were quite fond of each other, she laughed nervously when Thomson proposed, perhaps with some justification: she was about fifteen and he was about twenty-eight at the time. He took her reaction amiss and apparently left Seattle the next morning. She never married and went on to write several novels. One of them tells the story of a young girl who refused a proposal from an artist but later regretted her decision.[1] | ” |
Are there any further sources saying one way or the other? Thanks, Tkbrett (✉) 00:40, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Notability
[edit]I have added the notability template to this page because I think it can be seriously questioned whether or not Lambert is a notable enough figure to warrant an entry.
As per WP:AUTHOR, an author is deserving of an entry if any of the following is true:
- The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by peers or successors.
- The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory, or technique.
- The person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work. In addition, such work must have been the primary subject of an independent and notable work (for example, a book, film, or television series, but usually not a single episode of a television series) or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
- The person's work (or works) has: (a) become a significant monument, (b) been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) won significant critical attention, or (d) represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums.
As far as I can tell, Lambert meets none of these criteria. Her most notable aspect is her romance with Tom Thomson, which is covered in essentially the same depth on that page as it is here. The reliable sources that discuss her do not go into much more detail. Tkbrett (✉) 04:40, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
