Dates reverted

[edit]

I've reverted Satrehsb's edits, which added birth and death dates, because:

  • The claimed birthdate in 1917 contradicts the New York Times source, which implies a birthdate around 1953.
  • The claimed birthdate in 1917 would make Ms. Baker 85 years old at the time of the invasion, which seems unlikely given how active she was at that time.
  • I can find no evidence that Ms. Baker has died; the 2013 Reuters source mentions Ms. Baker but does not mention her death.

Motivation

[edit]

Does anyone have firm evidence of Ms. Baker's reasons for thinking the books would be safer outside the library? The sources seem to imply that the addition of a government office and antiaircraft guns made the library more of a target, but it's never stated explicitly.
