Hoax?
[edit]Is there any evidence that this man actually existed apart from a series of obviously staged fights on Youtube? Clearly the man in the photograph is a real person, but whether his name was Ali Raymi, or that he was killed in an airstrike, I seriously doubt. I believe the whole thing to be a character and a story cooked up for a laugh that got out of hand, so they "killed him off". Are there any sources that actually validate his existence outside of boxing ones simply reporting what had been reported to them? 80.45.112.194 (talk) 13:40, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

Ali Raymi feud with Danny Rafael
[edit]Record of online exchanges between them dating 2 years prior to Ali Raymi death. [1][2][3][4]
Dan Rafael started by making an indirect comment on strawweights with padded records, Ali Raymi responded by calling him Fat Dan Rafael a nickname that stuck with Dan Rafael, since then Dan Rafael avoided Ali Raymi, until his death & the WBA article AndrzejPoczobut (talk) 03:18, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

End of Dan Rafael career in ESPN
[edit]Dan Rafael opposition to Ali Raymi continued long after his death, in 2021 he tried to omit Ali Raymi name from the ESPN broadcast of the Edgar Berlanga vs Eric Moon fight, as a consequence of this his long boxing career ended on that note. In April 2020, ESPN ended its fifteen-year collaboration with Dan Rafael. [1][2] Treinament (talk) 11:48, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
