What rank?

You say that he became a general in 1986 and was promoted to major general in 1998. Unfortunately, that source is a dead link. What type of general did he become in 1986? Was it a brigadier general for example, or some other rank? Editrite! (talk) 09:15, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
