[edit]Number theory is over 2000 years old, however algebric number theory has emerged since the 19th century.[1][2]
- Ernst Kummer, Kronecker, and Dedekind are 3 notable algebraic number theorists.[2].
- Kronecker - Theory of equations, Kronecker delta, Kronecker limit formula.[3]
- Ernst Kummer - proved Fermat's last theorem for a class of prime exponents.[3]
- Dedekind - Not sure at this point which of his contributions belong in this article.[3]
