Added material from Eigenvalues and eigenvectors article
[edit]I just added a section "Relation to eigenvalues and eigenvectors" that was taken from the eigenvalues and eigenvectors article. It was too advanced and too dense for that article but seems adequate for this one (or some of the related pages). Howeve, I am not familiar with the topic. Would please someone check that section for accuracy/relevance, and move/edit it as appropriate? Thanks... --Jorge Stolfi (talk) 02:57, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Everything there is in the Weights section already AHusain (talk) 05:00, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Article could be vastly improved
[edit]The article could be vastly improved if it provided a much clearer and concrete definition than occurs currently.
The only definition of the article's subject is currently the exceptionally terse description in the introductory paragraph. This is ridiculous and entirely inappropriate for an encyclopedia article.
There needs to be a concrete mention of a vector space and a homomorphism from the algebra being represented to the algebra of endomorphisms of the vector space.
I hope someone knowledgeable about this subject can vastly improve this article. 2601:200:C000:1A0:C9DD:170B:ADC9:69A6 (talk) 17:01, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
