Mexican Hall of Fame

[edit]

I'd also seen that item in his MLB bio when I worked on the article before, but the Mexican Hall of Fame website doesn't list him among the inductees (http://www.salondelafama.com.mx/salondelafama/trono/alfasf.asp). My guess is that he was honored by the Hall in 2001, but not inducted as a member. I'd like to think that their standards are a bit higher than inducting someone who had been a ML umpire for less than two years. MisfitToys 02:18, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I can't read Spanish, but looking at the Mexican Hall of Fame website, all the pictures of the 2001 inductees are players. Is it possible that he was inducted as a non-player and thus not on their website? There are other multiple sources listing him as having been inducted in 2001...I think it is credible to list him as having been inducted espcially when I can list multiple cites. I'll refrain from putting it in the article until I see your response. Lawump 15:02, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance of including the fact that he umpired second base for a pitcher's milestone win?

[edit]

Somebody, please explain why it is relevant who was the second base umpire at a game where the pitcher recorded their 300th win. I can see home plate umpire being marginally relevant information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.115.180.124 (talk) 05:48, 30 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
