Regarding Trivia
[edit]No one outside the school cares about the trivia and it is thus not worthy of inclusion. For permanent access to it see here. --ʀ6ʍɑʏ89 03:27, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]I standardized the infobox to look better and fit in with other schools. In the process some of the info (address, nickname, alma mater) was deleted, so please see this link and decide if it needs to migrate back over. --ʀ6ʍɑʏ89 03:36, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Changes
[edit]I made some changes to the page. The little note next to the Newsweek blurb was egregiously POV in the context it was placed in, so I took it out. 'Public' implies nonselective admission; although charter schools and magnet schools may count as 'public schools' in terms of funding, their admissions policies and general administration function much more like those of private schools; the implicit distinction is clear enough that it doesn't need to be noted. citation tag
[edit]I added some citations within the article, but its rather impractical to keep that citation tag requesting 3rd party sources for a highschool. Just a thought. Eleigh33 02:25, 13 March 2007 (UTC) c/o '03
Notable alumni
[edit]Actor Victor DiMattia attended A.I., possibly graduating in 1998. His step-brother, actor Brian Bonsall, attended for at least a year as well. Anyone with yearbooks from that time (~1995-1998), please add DiMattia and Bonsall with dates of attendance. 03:11, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
Namesake of school
[edit]Who is the school named for? Wikipedia has an entry on Alexis Irénée du Pont. I think the philanthropist this school is named for came later? Also it's weird that nothing is said about it being integrated prior tonother Delaware schools. Shirley Bulah was a student after she won her case over no busing for the black school and no access to her community's school for whites. It was already desegregated when she attended A.I. Some other schools and districts in Delaware were not. FloridaArmy (talk) 23:16, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
