IPA

[edit]

IPA should be [əˈlɛksiə puˈteʎəs səˈɣuɾə]. See Help:IPA/Catalan 79.152.118.216 (talk) 11:46, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would also remove the |pron parameter from the IPA-ca module so that it is clear that the language transcribed is Catalan, her native language, to clear up any possible confusion (since it would show as Catalan pronunciation:). 79.152.118.216 (talk) 11:54, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the thoughts. I have:
  • Made the changes to IPA for given name
  • Added/amended the stress markers
  • Removed |pron
  • Changed g to ɣ (based on syllable position and lenition after schwa)
I haven't added the s in the first surname, in the full name IPA rendering. You'll see in the note about that name being said in isolation, it's there. Between Catalan declension and non-stressed s sounds, when the two surnames are said together, that sound will always be elided (which is noted in linguistics as much as experienced in real life).
