Improve references

The references given would be adequate to support the article, if somebody would undertake to:

Provide links to them online, wherever possible; and
Improve the accuracy of the spelling, particularly in the French, to reflect the originals.

I'd happily do the second task, but for accuracy, will first need access to the originals; I don't want to just guess. Will anyone please do the first task?
