WVMV is NOT a "jazz station," it is a "smootth jazz station." There is a BIG difference. The term "smooth jazz" refers to easy-listening music that is not actually jazz at all.

That sounds like something written by the subject himself as though it were for his web site bio. If this person is enough of a celebrity to warrant his own page here, then there should be independently sourced biographical facts. Also, "mastering the basics" is a bit of an oxymoron.
