Rong speling!!!
[edit]I'm a descendant of his, and I'm 99% certain that his proper legal name was Alexander MacLachlan. I'm at work right now so I can't supply the proof, but when I get home I will check pdfs of census records, a photo of the masthead page of one of his books, and (I think) a Collected Works, which I'm pretty sure all have the MacLachlan spelling. Also I think I might even have a photo of the grave marker of some family of his. I'll send myself an email to remind myself.
Unfortunately I have no clue how to change the title of an article. AllGloryToTheHypnotoad (talk) 17:34, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Whoops! Well, I've checked here at home; and I don't have the census data on him, and the two books we have by him both use the McLachlan spelling. I'm still sure it's the wrong spelling, but without any proof of it (beyond a few sites on the web) there's not much I can do. AllGloryToTheHypnotoad (talk) 20:20, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
