Does anyone know if Kopylov respected Tchaikovsky? There are similarities between the outer movements (tempo changes within the movement, harmonic use- contributing to general feel) of the 1894-published second quartet and the like movements of that composer's serenade for strings that are striking enough, though not so clear that some biographical evidence wouldn't be helpful. (Any books on the Belaieff circle would be good too for reference here.) Schissel | Sound the Note! 04:47, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
