Possible link to slavery
[edit]The Legacies of British Slave-ownership contains an entry for an Alexander Dennistoun, awarded 389 pounds for 25 enslaved people on the Bahamas under the slave owner compensation scheme. The entry says it is "possibly but not certainly" the same Dennnistoun as was MP (the implication being that he came into the property through his marriage). Recording it here in case it is worthy of mention on this page, or in case further info comes to light.DrThneed (talk) 05:41, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
- That's now added. --Tagishsimon (talk) 10:48, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
