"Arrest"-slandar
'Arrest and release pending bail On 26th August 2008, Pettyfer was arrested at his Berkshire home accused of possessing thousands of images of child pornography. He was remanded in custoday at Windsor Police Station and released on bail pending his trial, expected to be held in January 2009. [11]. Citation leads to an unrelated website, and is NOT BBC News as the citation suggests. Slandar, methinks. Bulls*** 92.3.14.185 (talk) 20:24, 29 August 2008 (UTC) Whoops. Wasn't signed in. Dead Ends
There were a lot of dead end articles (they show up in red rather than blue) so I took them off. I put them in bold to signify that while they are prominent there are no artilces for them.
Why is there a career section? He's barely had one. TripleH1976 1:23, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I removed it. It used to look better with it there back when there was a picture, but now that that's gone... Vulturell 09:27, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
Links
I'm sorry if this is the incorrect place to put this but can the unregistered person who has restored the "Alex Pettyfer Fansite" tagline to the link list stop doing this? It's not needed because it doesn't add information to the article or to the link. I think the link itself explains what the site is.Britishagent 20:40, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Removed line until sources can be provided. I searched the name on Google and got no results so I think this may be wishful thinking of a fan's part. Someone can add it if they prove me wrong. Britishagent 21:26, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Hmm..Passed GA
Umm..This article is really short, but for a guy who's made two movies you've got everything well referenced and written, hang on the one thing you could do (In case he doesn't made any more films) is de-tablefy the filmography...yeah, this is a funny one

Future Plans
Shouldn't we have a future plans section? I'm sure he's said stuff about latest offers. User:Green01 11:16, October 15 2006 (UTC).
After Stormbreaker crashed and burned, his latest and only offer will probably be from McDonald's. RossyG 19:07, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
That is not true!!!!! Stormbreaker is a really good movie and so is the book - People just don't appreciate it because it wasn't advertised a lot in the USA. I bet Alex Pettyfer has had plenty of offers but is too cool to tell them to people like you.69.219.160.227 21:55, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Or people like you either. Or maybe there's nothing to tell. RossyG 13:42, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
But it's true that Stormbreaker was bigger in England than in the US, because both the book and the movie are English.75.63.65.1 01:37, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Personal Life
You cannot tell me and make me belive that this guy does not have more of a personal life. (e.g., GIRLFRIEND!!!!) I actually had a friend who was disapointed that wikipedia did not have more info. don't need the dirty scoop, just a scratch on the surface. I also think the stuff under the Personal Life heading isn't all that personal.... Spottedleaf 21:49, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Does any1 know if Alex is gay? I dont believe it but i heard rumours. i dont think its true as in the set off wildchild he grabbed emmas bum. i dont want to think he is but i want to know.xxLadysovfan67 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.131.167.65 (talk) 23:11, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Contradiction in article
"According to the several interviews, he is currently single." "He has a girlfriend, Amy F., who he has been dating since early October."
I cannot fix this as I do not know which is true.
He's not going to be in the next movie?!?!
Is it true that Alex Pettyfer won't be in the next movie? Who cares if he's 'too old'?! He was the perfect Alex Rider! All his fans will miss him! Any other actor wouldn't be Alex Rider! I miss him already!!!!! :( 69.219.160.227 22:01, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
There's no second film for him to star in. Films that flop and lose money do not get sequels. Stormbreaker cost $40M and recouped less than half of that theatrically. RossyG 13:49, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
I don't know if you've never watched the movie or what, but there is going to be a sequel, off of the next book in the series, Point Blanc.75.63.65.1 01:40, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
There will be a second film of the Alex Rider Series as i am a friend of Alex Pettyfer. He has also told me that sadly, he will not be in the second movie, Point Blank. He was the perfect actor for that movie but sadly everyone has to grow up, including Alex himself. He cannot act as a 14 year old boy when he is 39. Bullying?
In the article, it says Alex Pettyfer left school because of "excessive bullying". Does that mean he was a bully or he was bullied? I think it needs to be cleared up.69.219.160.227 22:06, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
He tried to bully a younger boy; the younger boy retaliated by hitting Pettyfer. RossyG 13:45, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Where did you hear this?75.63.65.1 01:41, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- I think that Alex himself mentioned in an interveiw that he bullied, but I don't think anyone mentioned the details. ~Bella 14:57, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Fansite
Do we need *all* the fansites? If someone wants to see picture of him, he/she can google them up. If the fansites have personal information on him, it can be included into the article. If the fansites only have gossip, they are not worth mentioning, as WP isn't a gossip mill, if they have copyrighted material and WP links to them, we might get into trouble. Isn't IMDB and official site enough? Best regards, --Plumcouch Talk2Me 17:38, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, Plumcouch! I noticed your recent edit about removing these extra fansites listing. I added the rest of the top links from Google when I noticed that there were already about three of them on this article. Naturally I thought, why not add just a couple more. But obviosuly Wikipedia does not need more - and thank you for picking that up. I also agree with you on the 'gossip' idea - if the fansites have something useful to contribute, like sources of information for this article, then they can stay, but there is no point in having an endless listing! (I remember that one of the fansites does have copies of his MySpace blogs on it (seeing that users must add his as a friend to access his blogs on the MySpace site), so would it be legal to add such a fansite link?) And yes, IMDb is very good (it is my second home behind Wikipedia, of course!) Thanks again, --rjcuk 10:04, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, Rjcuk! Yep, my opinion exactly. I also removed the fansites because some of them don't have any original content, and just want to use Wiki for more hits. Also, what do you think about fansites as sources? I'm not sure if those are reliable - because where do they get the info from? Do they have personal contact to Pettyfer? What if information on official site and on a fansite differs? Any opinions on that? Best regards, --Plumcouch Talk2Me 16:51, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again, Plumcouch! Thanks for your reply. This is becoming an even more interesting discussion here! Hmm, 'fansites as reliable sources of information'. Now that is tricky. I suppose that a fansite could be original research itself - because fansites could be made by anyone (thus promoting opinion). The authors don't have to directly copy everything from the official website, or any other source they use. Therefore you could say they are unreliable. I mean, even the fansite I mentioned which has copies of his blogs on could be false information. The Real McCoy is his actual blog (which is blocked unless Wikipedia gets its own MySpace account and then gets accepted as a friend by Pettyfer... hmm... maybe that's going a bit too far). Anyway, why all this fuss about one little kid? What's even more crazy is that Pettyfer's page was recommended for FA. I mean, seriously! He has a very short acting career. I could understand if a young actor like Daniel Radcliffe got Featured, but not Pettyfer. Not yet.
- To conclude: Just as you said - I also agree. Fansites might be more likely to be unreliable - even though they can sometimes be truthful, they may lie. Overall they just might not be a good place to go. Good thinking, Plumcouch. I suppose that the only way to add reliable information is if e.g. the press report on him in the future. Like the CBBC did in the interview. ... Anyway. Thanks again, Plumcouch! You've opened my mind a bit more on the core rules of Wikipedia. I guess I have some more thinking to do... All the best, --rjcuk 11:35, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Tattoos
Are his tattoos and the fact he smokes really worth mentioning? It's almost as bad as the frequent additions of rumoured girlfriends. -- Britishagent 08:59, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Error regarding Lee Robinson, Alex's mother
Hello,
I've just registered and I'm trying to fix the factual information on Alex's mother, Lee Robinson. Lee is my business partner, and she has instructed me to change the information related to her. Lee is not a former fashion model, but a former actress. We also need to link her name to her own page and remove the statement 'formerly known as Lee Ireland'.
Can anyone help with this please? I pasted the source below for the section that requires correction. Unfortunately I cannot change it myself, as it is semi-protected and I'm a new user.
Thanks for you help!
-Ashley AshleyMansour (talk) 18:39, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- I am looking into this, but we will need to have reliable sources for verification purposes. If these cannot be found, we should delete this information. I'll get back to you. Rodhullandemu 18:46, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- Can't find a reliable source beyond the one cited (NY Times) that states she is a "former fashion model"- all seem to be mirrors of this site or unreliable blogs. Likewise, "now known as Lee Ireland" doesn't need to be there, and I've removed both these things. However, I can't find that we have a page for that Lee Robinson to link to. Meanwhile, if there is still a problem, please take a look here. Hope that helps. Rodhullandemu 19:42, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
There is verifiable information in today's Ottawa Citizen that confirms that his mother was not a model, his father was not an actor, and Pettyfer never had a career in children's fashion. FIX YOUR ARTICLE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.69.21.28 (talk) 20:26, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
The idea here is that if you have verifiable proof of something you fix it yourself. However, it is verifiable that Alex Pettyfer's biological father is the actor Richard Pettyfer. The man he refers to as his Dad, a builder, is Michael Ireland, a property developer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.39.248.73 (talk) 15:22, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
Photo
I believe that the photo on this page should be updated as it is four years old. I'm new here, so I don't know how to change it. If anyone would like to change it, or tell me how to do it, I think it would improve this article. Thanks. C.H.T. (talk) 13:21, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
-I agree that this photo is extremely outdated and not the best picture of him either. If anyone knows how to change it or has the ability to please do! Ginaprimadonna (talk) 18:18, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

- Maybe, but copyright-free photographs of living people are easily found and so copyrighted images cannot be used here. Please see WP:NFCC#1. Rodhullandemu 00:19, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
-well because you know what your doing can you please so it cause its really stupid to have a picture that old on there Cvourt (talk) 01:25, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
- Worth a look here and here. Although anyone can edit here, there have to be some limits, particularly (in this case) where copyright is an issue. Rodhullandemu 01:58, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
The Tattoo.
I think I remember E R stands for Elizabeth Royale. But the '"I don't know how to say it, she's a lovely, lovely girl, we had a spell of something that is over now, but we're on good terms. She's beautiful, she's great; we're really good friends." The actor had gotten Roberts' name tattooed on his wrist while the two were dating. "I'm going to get asked about this, aren't I? I thought it was just between me and her," he said when asked about the tattoo.' Was said about the Emma on his finger, yet he's covering the tattoo up, with a ring.

a Kanji script on his lower waist” is incorrect it is in fact Japanese katakana which is not kanji. the katakana says アソックス (asokkusu) but i dont know what this means as katakana is used for foreign words and is likely an English word but i cannot figure out what it means. as long as someone can at least adjust the kanji part its alright with me.
Joshuamb (talk) 14:05, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
- A source is cited, but it isn't available online so I don't know what it says, and I can't find anything reliable. The tattoo is probably アレックス (which is katakana, and translates to Alex). Peter E. James (talk) 20:09, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
- Done. I couldn't find any reliable sources for the tattoo, but there's a well-publicized image confirming the Katakana given above. Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 13:45, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

According to the 2011 MTV Movie Awards website, <http://www.mtv.com/ontv/movieawards/2011/biggest-badass-star/>, Alex Pettyfer was nominated for The Biggest Bad Ass Star Award, not Best Breakout Star. Thus, in conjunction with Wikipedia's content criteria policy, the Awards and Nominations section of this topic should be altered to represent "Biggest Bad Ass Star" not "Best Breakout Star."

Interestingly to note, he quotes on VMan magazine, "I wish I had some interesting stories about living in L.A., but mostly I just do my work and then go home, "I think my Wikipedia is full of bullshit because I actually don't have anything cool or interesting to be said about me." ((Saddening to know celebrities have to live with this kind of mindset while the social media thinks pimples and people shaving their heads out of anxiety attacks= To die for Entertainment...really? humans are defined by how beautiful their skins are or how "sane" they have to be before they are deemed automatically "psychotic" for just trying to express their human response towards stress and feelings of self-worthlessness.))
"I think [L.A.] is this insidious pool where nearly everyone lives in fear," he goes on. "Geographically it's fantastic ... but socially it's disgusting." (Powers, 2011).
((Amen to that!))

As for citing the sentences in parenthesis, I do hope wiki sees this as a reasonable fact about life, and since it does have something to do with Alex's personal life as it is HIS personal opinion (hopefully...), does not deem it as worthless information (>.<).
- Oppose adding this. How would anyone be able to mention this in a Wikipedia article? Barring that, just because he mentions Wikipedia in a sentence, does not give any mean to mentioning it. He could have a hate for Facebook - do we mention that? Celebrities hate the paparazzi's - Should we mention that in all celebrity articles? Of course not. Their opinion may be important, but if we add this opinion, we might as well add his favourite foods, music, films, cars etc. <--- All opinions. Nothing really to do with this article. Oppose adding this. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, this opinion doesn't seem encyclopedic. -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 11:19, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
