Blackburn?
[edit]The article says he started his career at Blackburn, but soccerbase says Birmingham, which I'm inclined to believe. I have changed the article to reflect that, pending evidence to the contrary. sʟυмɢυм • т • c 00:41, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Birmingham bought him from Blackburn. I don't think Bruce was ever a regular at Blackburn and most people think that Bruce bought him to get his son away from Blackburn after the Robbie Savage scandal. (Fragmaroom 12:19, 10 February 2007 (UTC))
Have fixed chronology. He started at Man U in the academy, then went to Blackburn when released, never played for the first team, then as Fragmaroom says he was in an untenable position at Blackburn after the Bowen/Savage thing. He joined Bham after 1 month of his scheduled 3 months loan at Oldham and was allowed to stay for the remainder (or most of, anyway). Soccerbase has it wrong. Struway (talk) 13:09, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
English Player
[edit]How can we refer to him as an English Player when he is playing for Ireland at underage and reserve team level? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.43.105.22 (talk) 15:41, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
I think he has a grandmother from Northern Ireland. It's probably best simply to refer to him as "a footballer", as the article now does. Poshseagull (talk) 22:05, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]The text is quite glowing when all evidence presented here seems to show him to be a mediocre player at best — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.174.58.161 (talk) 00:02, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
