Relationship of narrative to map
[edit]Kudos for keeping the updates going guys - and the map is nice, but sort of confusing. None of the places mentioned in the narrative of this article appear to be marked on the map and so it's not obvious who has attacked where and what ground changed hands. Don't suppose someone in the know could add a mark-up could they? Or at least before and after maps so we can see where the front line went... 62.196.17.194 (talk) 10:40, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
- Good moves. Thanks. 62.196.17.194 (talk) 11:33, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
Proposal to rename article "Aleppo counteroffensive (October 2016)
[edit]It might be confusing to readers that are looking for the recent offensive by the Syrian Arab Army. - GeneralAdmiralAladeen (Têkilî min) 05:30, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
- Is there any article about a military operation in the history of Wikipedia that was named as a counteroffensive? The Counteroffensive of Eastern Front is the only one I found and it should be renamed anyways. Editor abcdef (talk) 06:51, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
- Agree with Editor abcdef. This is the established template on naming offensive articles, especially for Syrian war-related articles. We have named each offensive (including counteroffensives) as simply offensive. EkoGraf (talk) 14:34, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
Is SouthFront credible?
[edit]Opposition losses in infobox :
- 89 killed (per the Inside Source)[4][26]
- 72 killed (per the SOHR)[23]
- 2,500 killed or wounded (per the SouthFront)[27] https://southfront.org/2500-terrorists-killed-wounded-in-western-aleppo-in-last-days/
What is this website? Do they have any source there? I frankly doubt a source two orders over all others is credible. Barraki (talk) 13:58, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
