Film locations for "Alchemy of Souls"

I found the word for film locations in Korean (촬영지) and hunted for it in the Korean article. (Not found.) I would love a list of film locations e.g. for the bamboo forest (is it Juknokwan and is the Bamboo temple where the fight with Gil Ru starts, the bamboo temple at Juknokwan?) Where is the lake into which soul-shifters bodies are tossed? And all the other beautiful scenic places? I watch the credits in all films with Roman orthography just to see where things have been filmed. Please help. MargaretRDonald (talk) 13:26, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

@MargaretRDonald Here you go [1][2], both are passing mentions, however unsure if it's the above location you've mentioned. Filming locations are rarely a topic that reputable news agencies in South Korea like to write on hence the sources are scarced. Names & their meaning

Paper9oll And yet another. In the English subtitles we are told that Naksu is named because heads roll when she passes. In the very last episode of Part 2 we are told that Uk means "light" & Yeong means "shadow". I have found this impossible to verify in google translate. Is there something at the beginning of the Hangul that means something is a name and so the characters fail to translate. MargaretRDonald (talk) 04:17, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

@MargaretRDonald Kind of hard to explain but the meaning is around there, in layman explanation, Uk can means top/above, the sky is at the top so "light" can means something positive of which the show also mentions on heaven stuffs and Yeong means zero so the show saying Yeong is "shadow" kind of make sense. Google Translate doesn't works well if you're finding the meaning of the words, if you know the Korean word to search for then Naver is better at that. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 02:11, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

Wuxia or Xianxia influence?

A central theme of this IMHO excellent series is the idea of cultivation. While not focused on becoming immortal, the idea of opening an energy gate and then achieving various levels is certainly very similar, I'd have though. I first encountered this kind of lit genre when reading the very enjoyable Will Wight "Cradle" series and believe it to be relevant here. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable in these topics could comment, especially as this is a Korean rather than Chinese show it might be interesting to note? Nrubdarb (talk) 10:39, 7 October 2022 (UTC)

I do believe in mystical energy, although I don't know if its nature is material, supernatural or a combination. Self-cultivation is something regularly present in my mind. Names

I wonder when - if ever - Eastern names will be referenced correctly in Wikipedia. Why are Korean names always stated as Last name First name?, i.e. the equivalent of Washington George. Yes, in Easter cultures that name order is traditional but in the English Wikipedia it should follow Western schemes. Please check the section about Korean names here on Wikipedia and write them Western style, i.e, First name Last name, 37.201.153.189 (talk) 01:57, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

Firstly, welcome to Wikipedia. @Thinker78 Ehh ... what is there to actually consider about, I'm so confused. Korean name has been writen in such stylization across more thousands of Korean-related articles in alignment and in accordance to WP:NCKO guidelines (not essay btw) of which there hasn't been any concerns. Well sure, they're allowed to express their thoughts however it's incorrect thinking and ideology of which I've directed them to the appropriate venues on why it's such. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 04:24, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
