Article name
[edit]I see the article was moved to Albert Vickers Bryan Jr., but I don't see who calls the subject by that name. Albert V. Bryan Jr. appears to be a more common usage. (Note the courthose named "Albert V. Bryan US Courthouse". Unless there's a good argument for the move I'll move it back. Will Beback talk 03:42, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- The courthouse is named after the father (see Margaret T. Peters, Virginia's Historic Courthouses, p. 221) and FJC uses the full names for both: dad, son. Cheers! bd2412 T 03:58, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
- My mistake about the courthouse, though it indicates even the father isn't known by the spelled out name either. But good old Google gets 37 hits for ["Albert Vickers Bryan Jr."][1] compared to 1,780 for ["Albert V. Bryan Jr."].[2] Among the sources that use the initial: [3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10] and so on. - I'm not terribly devoted to either construction. The FJC is the "official" word, but it does tend towards formality, so I have no objection if you move this back. I do think that the father and son use the same construction, so if you move one, please move both. Cheers! bd2412 T 20:26, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
