Talk:Albert Ludwig Sigesmund Neisser
Very interesting material on an important physician. I believe Dr. Neisser also discovered the menigococcus, which causes meningitis , Meningococcus neisseria. Since he is a distant relative, i am interested in finding out more about his family. Any ideas how this can be persued? ````Renate |

About health control on prostitutes
[edit]This is a false belief, as if somebody has any kind of control, resulting in 'clean' diagnosis, no one can guarantee five minutes later that individual won't have acquired a sexually transmitted disease and have it passed to others. Simply, the task is impossible; a similar thing appeared in screening of some malignancies, were a 'Window effect' showed, cases appearing in the period between one screening intervention and the next. The wrong proposal of abandon of PSA screening for prostate cancer, it is still useful in high risk populations, reduction in its use resulted in a higher number of prostate cancer cases detected in advanced stage, is to be brought into consideration. A very high risk behaviour, as paid sex, promiscuity (WHO defines as 'promiscuous' anyone having had full sex with four or more different partners in their lifetime), drug use, is a high risk behavior; as the 'commandments' never reduced the incidence of fornication, STS, murders, wasting money and resources in some types of screening is to be reassessed. By implementing some kind of measures, HRAs could become partners in a crime, concealers, supporters of an undesirable activity. it is the Risk takers who must first care of themselves, for this, education is the best approach. Beware of dog!
