The result of the move request was: not moved: when considering the variant spellings, there's little to no evidence that this is the primary topic. DrKiernan (talk) 18:44, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
Albert Hoffmann (Nazi) → Albert Hoffmann – This page receives 240 views in the past 30 days to 90 views for the horticulturist of the same name. So, I think that this should be made into the primary. Hoops gza (talk) 05:11, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- Doubtful: 240–90 is not so overwhelming. HandsomeFella (talk) 09:31, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- Weak oppose: Was fooled slightly by the variant spellings. Albert Hoffmann double nn redirects to Albert Hoffman (so Talk:Albert Hoffmann doesn't exist, which explains why no tag there). But still, is a Nazi really more notable than Albert Hoffman (artist) (1915–1993), American artist, Albert Hoffmann (horticulturist) (1846–1924), German rosarian, plus [[Albert Hofmann (1906–2008), "Swiss scientist and discoverer of LSD-25," Al Hoffman, songwriter, combined? Nazis will always get more page views since WWII and facism are more popular subjects, so page views aren't a good guide to real (printed sources) notability. Might relax oppose if argument was supported from Google Books post 1990 showing the Nazi significantly outnumbers the other 4. In ictu oculi (talk) 04:07, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Move to something else instead: I don't think Nazi needs to be in the article title of this guy. Perhaps something more neutral, like Albert Hoffmann (businessman)? pbp 22:32, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
- Why? His notability is for being a high-ranking Nazi and not for being a successful businessman. --RJFF (talk) 21:05, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. Albert Hoffmann should definitely stay as a redirect to the dab Albert Hoffman. Chances are that the vast majority of people are looking for Albert Hofmann, which is in the upper ten-thousands range of hits every month ([1]). --87.79.105.235 (talk) 13:13, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
