[edit]I removed the sentence "It is also unknown if he lost his title on the Restoration due to his Bonapartist sympathies - his son was certainly styling himself "comte" around 1821, long before his father's death." It does not make sense: nobody lost his title in that way, particularly considering that his title was not a Napoleonic title but a pre-1789 one: it had created in 1770 for his father.
