WWII service
[edit]quote: "During WWII Benjamin was drafted into the Ambulance (Home Defence) Service ..."

- It looks like it, though I can't be 100% sure. JH (talk page) 07:46, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Studying medicine
[edit]He discovered bridge "at Glasgow University, studying medicine".
Does this mean Medical school in the United Kingdom, University of Glasgow Medical School? Did he complete the study?

- Yes, it must mean University of Glasgow Medical School. JH (talk page) 07:47, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Identity
[edit]Benjamin is not identified by the Library of Congress (no LCCN), hence not at WorldCat (no auto-generated homepage, as we link in the footer of most English-language writer biographies). Nor did I find him at VIAF, which also covers other authorities, but he may be there in some fashion (one VIAF search).
This is no surprise because we don't say that he wrote a book, but it would be no surprise to find him anyway. At least one WorldCat library has catalogued dozens of columns by Susanna Gross (Talk:Susanna Gross#The Spectator).
Direct searches do not evidently hit him.
