I will take this review. I am sorry for how long you've had to wait. I've reviewed 60+ other articles, including some long and complex ones, and will review this article against the 6 good article criteria. I'll read over this article and have a think, then start the review in 2-3 days. --Tom (LT) (talk) 21:23, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

Whilst I commend the editors who have put some effort into improving this article, it is not suitable for GA status. My concerns include:

  • A confusing structure that focuses more on Turkish control of Egypt and specific personalitie than Armenians in general, with no real introductory statements
  • Incorrect statements, such as there being no more Armenians in Egypt, which contradict other articles which say there are at least 11,000 (see Albanians#Egypt)
  • Grammar and prose that need improving - especially paragraph structure
  • Lack of citations for several areas

I have rated this article "Start class" and encourage the nominator to edit it further, but it needs a fair amount of work before it is suitable for "good article" status. Yours, --Tom (LT) (talk) 06:28, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Two places you may want to ask for help after this are at the guild of copy editors or at peer review. I would also suggest a visit to the teahouse, where you will be able to find a variety of helpful editors who can help you get started on editing. --Tom (LT) (talk) 06:31, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
