I'll review this article within a few days. Wizardman 03:28, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The prose review should be done tomorrow. On the reference front, the only question mark I had was on the baseball library ref (#22). I'm not really sure it's reliable (and usually their bios are only a couple sentences anyway). I know they have a collection of people that manage it so maybe it's a case-by-case basis, which I can't determine right now because the site's down. In any event, I'd prefer it be replaced, though it's not necessarily a deal breaker. Wizardman 03:54, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the issues I found in the prose so far, only partway through the article:

  • Nitpicking, but the infobox has him as a second baseman/outfielder while the first sentence has second baseman/left fielder. I don't care which iteration is used but I'd prefer it be consistent.
  • "He was released by the Angels organization in June and he feared that his career was near its end, but he reached out to a contact with the Los Angeles Dodgers, scout Gail Henley." there's a comma splice at the end that makes me think there are words missing, but that also sounds like something that should have a source right after.

Going to withdraw my review, actually; taking a wikibreak. If it hasn't been picked back up should I return then I'll resume it. Wizardman 03:47, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note for the next reviewer: I think I have addressed the above feedback. I agree that Baseball Library is not ideal. I reworded things a bit and was able to replace the two BL cites with reliable sources. I am appreciative of Wizardman for the initial feedback, as well as for the very high-quality work over his years of WP and WikiProject Baseball contributions.
