In one of your articles about Alan Tonks, it states that 'Alan Tonks is the son of the LATE Chris Tonks.' This information is inaccurate. Chris Tonks, Alan's Father, is very much alive and currently resides in Toronto. [unsigned]

But in February of 2006, Chris Tonks Sr did in fact die. There is, for example, a memorial statement by Mayor Miller on the city of Toronto website. [unsigned] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.225.92.118 (talk) 02:22, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This has been corrected, although some Wikipedia copy-sites still list the erroneous information. You would be advised to that the matter up with them. CJCurrie 03:19, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The statement that Al Tonks "gained negative attention from human rights organizations for his history of voting against giving equal rights to gay and lesbian Canadians" lacks neutrality in POV and links to an organization (Egale - http://www.egale.ca/index.asp?lang=E&item=249&tab=Q2000&person=449) which by its very nature is not neutral to the issue. Tonks may in fact have gained positive attention from others who consider themselves to be "human rights" organizations. The statement should be rewritten to reflect NPOV or should be deleted.
