Was his father Muslim?

We don't know because, unlike his Catholic Italian American mother, the writer of the main source article choses to omit parallel detail about his father.

The above text was moved to discussion after being mispalced by someone else within the Wiki Bio. RichardBond (talk) 12:05, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, his father was Muslim. He is Catholic. CordeliaNaismith (talk) 05:53, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another notable politician who is not Muslim, but whose father was, is Barack Obama. --AFriedman (talk) 22:22, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Improving this article

[edit]

Anyone want to help get this article to good article/featured article status? I think that this article is likely to have lots of viewers in the next week, because Khazei is running for US Senate, and the primary will take place on December 8. Style

[edit]

If you want this to be a featured article, it would be a good idea to make sure that it complies with WP:BLP, WP:NPOV and the Wikipedia Manual of Style.

The Wikipedia:Guide to writing better articles says: "When you do create links, link only one or a few instances of the same term; don't link all instances of it." Wikipedia:Avoiding common mistakes warns against "Over-Wikifying": "Wikipedia thrives on internal links, but keep it within reason." Ground Zero | t 04:37, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a great idea; would you like to help with making sure that it complies with these policies & with improving this article? Thanks for your help so far, CordeliaNaismith (talk) 05:09, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
With the addition of the glowing endorsements, I think people considering this for FA status may be concerned the criticism/praise comments under about WP:BLPSTYLE. It is sounding something like a campaign pamphlet now. There is little balance in the article. Ground Zero | t 12:46, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
