Jay Fagan deserves an article. He was the foundering of the scholarly journal Fathering. It has a longer full title. I am still disgruntled at the unjustified, uncolsulted deletion of the article on Marie Cornwall who is the current editor of the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion and I think the only editor that journal has had who does not have an article on them in wikipedia. So I am reticent to create too many articles, at times it seems to attrack delete-happy administrators, who will admit after deleting the category "Souther Baptists", and I quote "I know nothing about American Protestant Denominations". So why in the world did the guy delete a category that he knew nothing about?Johnpacklambert (talk) 18:46, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, so there is no article on The Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion's first editor Ralph Hood. I would say there ought to be. Maybe it is not clear if that journal is one that gives the editor-in-chief notability, but at least people should engage this clear attempt to prove notability and not engage in a speedy deletion without even giving anyone the chance to post a hang-on.Johnpacklambert (talk) 18:50, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't a part of the action on either of those articles, but I would say that being an editor of a journal that has an article does not automatically confer notability to its editor(s). If the journal is major and well-known outside its academic area, such as Lancet or JAMA, then an exception might be made to that, but otherwise, no. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 22:42, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
