Birth?

According to FreeBMD, the birth of only two people named Alan Edwards (excluding those with non-S middle initials) were registered in Wales betweeen 1909 and 1920, i.e. coinciding with a circa-1935 to 1949 rugby league playing career, they are; birth registered during April→June 1911 (estimated playing age 24→38) in Cardiff district (27-miles from Kenfig Hill), and birth registered during October→December 1919 (estimated playing age 16 (very unlikley as before 1935 he played Rugby Union for Aberavon RFC)→30) in Bedwellty district (37-miles from Kenfig Hill), are either of these Alan Edwards?
