The tone, jargon and grammar in this article is below standard, also glossing over important parts of his career, failing criteria 1. Issues with the prose number over 50% of the sentences within the article. There is a dead link, tagged in January; also some original research and statistical inaccuracy appears to feature in the article (criteria 2). The fulfilment of criteria 3 is not clear; main aspects are glossed over as noted above. Criteria 4, 5 and 6 are met. Although I am including a list of particular points below, the article is a long way from meeting point 1 of the criteria, and the appropriate action at this time is to leave the article as not listed:

  • "After failing to make any impact in Brazil with Londrina and Fluminense," doesn't seem to reflect his time at the second club, in particular
  • "after playing nearly 130 matches for the Austrian side and scoring nearly 100 goals"
  • No info about his time at Londrina, except signing. Text suggests it was a non-professional arrangement, without committing.
  • "Brasileiro" doesn't seem to be a common name for the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A
  • "He made his debut for the club in UEFA Champions League qualifier against Hapoel Tel Aviv which his team lost 2–3."
  • "In that match he came as a 67th minute substitute for Franz Schiemer."
  • "In his first season with the club, Alan scored a hat-trick against Sturm Graz on 16 April 2011."
  • "Alan also scored braces"
  • "Alan started the 2011–12 season by scoring a hat-trick against Latvian side FK Liepājas Metalurgs." what type of match?
  • "His goal scoring streak continued as he scored a brace against FK Senica[13] as well as scoring in a defeat against AC Omonia" what matches, what results, remove jargon
  • "However his playing time in his second season with the Austrian club was limited as he ruptured his cruciate ligament in a league match against Rapid Vienna on 28 August 2011 and was ruled out of action for at least six months."
  • "Alan got back on training"
  • "did not play in any continental match" what does this mean?
  • "The 2013–14 season proved to be the most successful season for the Brazilian striker, becoming a goalmachine."
  • "the same feat would also be achieved by his Spanish partner"
  • "He also received two red cards - one against SV Ried and another against FC Basel in an UEFA Europa League encounter."
  • "officially announced"
  • "Alan played three matches for the Brazil U20 in an unofficial tournament."
  • "Alan called himself as half-Austrian"
  • "However his move to Guangzhou Evergrande dented the hope of playing for Austria as he was only six months shy of five years while joining the Chinese outfit."
  • "He has also been said as "strong, energetic, skilled""
  • "Alan is equally adept in his both left and right foot"
  • Stats don't add up, e.g. Red Bull Salzburg league appearances do not total 89 as stated
  • Fluminense stats for 2008 (league, international) are not included within the citation (OR?)
  • 2011/12 cup stats are not included within the citation (OR?)
  • 2010/11 continental stats are different from those listed at the citation (OR?)
