1. It is reasonably well written.

   Spelling seems fine but some sentences should be rewording;

“ Soon, they began moving further and further toward the edges of the Central Valley, founding Atenas in 1836, San Ramón in 1854, and Grecia in 1856. Soon, the cities of Naranjo, Zarcero, and Quesada were founded as well. ”

“ Costa Rica is a biodiversity hotspot and Alajuela is no exception. ”

   This link seems unreliable, please replace it with another reliable source. Other links looks fine. Plus the Climate section should be cite with a reference together with the climate table source which should be put like this: Source: Weatherbase.

5. Overall: The article looks good, but there is some issues need to be settled. I give the nominator a time to fix up these issues and after that I will decide whether it is pass or failed.
