Claims she was a founding member

Hear it claims she was a founding member of 'What Is This?' but on the article for the band it says she joined later. Which is correct? Stratpod 20:15, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hanging Tree

The liner notes for Songs For The Deaf do state that Hanging Tree was "written by Alain Johannes (Channel This Music/ASCAP) and Josh Homme".

Hanging Tree first appeared on Desert Sessions 7 & 8, Johannes played "All Guitars" on this version.

I did write the song. Josh wrote some lyrics with me. When the first 400,000 copies of Deaf where printed they omitted my name from the credits (some error!). Therefore there are many people who would have no idea. I wrote "Hangin' Tree" and "Making A Cross" on the porch couch at Rancho De La Luna while Fred Drake made us breakfast before the days' recording started. Alain

Instruments and Equipment

As a producer and multi-instrumentalist, Alain Johannes is known for his large collection of instruments. I agree that the well-researched section about his instruments needed to be removed as that is only peripherally related to his fame, BUT I believe there may be a reason to one day put it back in (or part of it). That’s because Johannes also collaborates in development with luthiers and pedal F/X makers, so this is an area to watch for significance of that role. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Denstat (talk • contribs) 16:27, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
