What is the large "fixed" object in Lake Huron just off-shore near Alabaster, MI? One can clearly see it from US-23. The google maps satellite view [1] also shows smaller objects in the water leading out to it. This page would be an excellent place to either explain it or link to the explanation. It's the old US Gypsum Company's loading crib - the smaller objects mentioned are the foudations of the old arial tramway that carried gypsum from the quary out to the loading crib, where freighters would stop to load it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.124.186.86 (talk) 18:23, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
