The result of this discussion was to merge the article with Al Akins Batard0 (talk) 13:51, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is almost a no-brainer, but Al Akins (halfback) needs to be merged into Al Akins, because it's the same person. I confess this is my mistake -- I thought the two were separate people but have since learned that they're one and the same. See, for example, this article that connects Akins's coaching with his playing career.--Batard0 (talk) 11:11, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
