[edit]THE US ARMY WAS THE ONE THAT ESTABLISHED THIS SITE NOT THE USMC. The only reason why I know this is because I was part of the 671st Engineering Company MRBC out of Portland, OR that helped build the berms. We were stationed there from May 2003 to July 2003. This based was called CAMP DOGWOOD. Look it up. 50.53.172.77
