Looks good, not sure why it had to wait so long. Will get to this soon. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 13:13, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
No dablinks, no copyvio detected. Fairly well-written, only a few comments: Sainsf (talk · contribs) 08:45, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
- Lead
- Citations are typically excluded from the lead unless something controversial is claimed.
- Removed. Al Ameer (talk) 19:16, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- Middle Ages
- Al-Birwa was mentioned in the historical record in 1047 CE You mean first mentioned? (If reworded, repeat in the lead)
- Wikilink Acre at first mention in the section.
- Source for the last line?
- I revised the first line since the source doesn't say this was the "first" time Birwa was mentioned in history. It could be that Birwa has a pre-11th century history but I just haven't discovered it yet in my research. None of the sources I have mention a pre-medieval past, but archaeological finds show some kind of activity during the late Byzantine/Umayyad period. The last two points have also been taken care of. Al Ameer (talk) 19:16, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- British Mandate period
- Cement roofs became widely used al-Birwa in the 1930s ...used "in"...
- A link or explanation would be good for "olive presses". The meaning may not be apparent at first.
- Residents of the village owned a total of 600 cattle, 3,000 goats and 1,000 chickens When were these figures recorded?
- Done. Al Ameer (talk) 19:16, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- Aftermath
- The area remained under Martial Law until 1966. Source?
- Removed until source could be provided. The Arab population in Israel was under martial law until 1966 but I'm not sure if the area was under martial law. Al Ameer (talk) 19:16, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
- Archaeology
- Late Byzantine and Umayyad periods Links and an idea of their time periods would be appreciated.
- I added the links, but haven't yet added a background on this era in general. --Al Ameer (talk) 19:16, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
@Al Ameer son: It is soon going to b a week since I posted all my comments here. If you don't respond within a week of that, I will have to consider failing this. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 06:21, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Sainsf: Sorry for the late reply, I was going to wait until I addressed all the points here before responding. I took care of some of the issues two days ago and the rest should be wrapped up by tomorrow. Thanks for taking the time to review this article, Cheers --Al Ameer (talk) 16:33, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Sainsf: I've addressed everything except perhaps the last point, which I've only partially addressed. --Al Ameer (talk) 19:16, 11 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for making the proper changes. We can promote this now. Cheers, Sainsf (talk · contribs) 08:13, 12 June 2016 (UTC)
