Notable
[edit]The entirety of the article in its current form is drawn from one source whose reliability is questionable, but a quick search shows that the subject of this article is indeed notable and his work has been cited and mentioned in critical studies of the development of modern Muslim thought. A lot of work will need to be done to properly build this article, though. MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:01, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
I agree with this comment. I feel that Kawthari's life and works transcend the usual cycle of a scholars life: authoring books, etc. Being part of the Ottoman government, he was part of the political scene of Turkey. Also, his works reveal the religious state of affairs in Egypt at the time. These aspects, and many more, deserve study and investigation. Khalidulhaq1982 (talk) 21:17, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
