NGO?
[edit]I am not sure if Akshaya patra is the name of the NGO. It is only the name of a scheme and is run by Swami Madhu Pandit Das under the auspices of ISKCON, Bangalore. --Gurubrahma 18:57, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Gurubrahma. From their website, they list their address as "The Akshaya Patra Foundation". Do you think I ought to rename the article to Akshaya Patra Foundation? Do you think it is a mistake to refer to them as an NGO? --BostonMA 21:58, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Controversy
[edit]The three main directors of APF specifically Madhu Pandit are embroiled in major court battles regarding mass fraud on their part. This must be mentioned as it affects APF. Madhu Pandit doesn't people to know this so he has people come in and undo any edits that reveal what is happening.van Lustig (talk) 17:57, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

The Akshaya Patra Fraud website is not a verified links and it is not third party website, Some people has developed the site to make confusion among people.
Dear Sam The allegations of fraud are levelled by some vitiated sites. One such site is www.madhubandit.info. Use of Bandit in the name itself reduces the credibility of the site. Name indirectly indicates the sites real intention of maligning the person. Why should one accept any information from such a biased site? The allegations of fraud are made in hate sites as reported in Deccan Chronicle. The officer says “the misleading propaganda unleashed through a series of websites seems to have been floated by one single group.” “The case is under investigation and we are in the process of tracing those who have created these websites..
