Change of pronoun convention

[edit]

Dangnad, the original writer of this article has come back to change the first person pronoun "I" to third person "DBC" so as to distinguish myself from the Wikipedia Bot which refers to itself as "I".

Updates

[edit]

I am adding all of our newspapers to Wikipedia. I have copied the format from other newspaper postings. I am updating the shell so that local papers can come in and edit the entry with specific info on the newspaper. Mactullyfla (talk) 00:03, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A dear, and very knowledgeable newspaper friend of DBC read my write-up and suggested some edits, mostly minor ones of style and that a paragraph from "Visions, Cooleys, and Graves" that made no sense be removed which I have done 7/7/2009.Dangnad (talk) 00:37, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The wonderful YouTube video of a Kluge in action was pulled so DBC has removed that note.Dangnad (talk) 01:07, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

6/15/2010 - DBC added an image of the first ANR pub 7 Mar 1929 Dangnad (talk) 02:40, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

11/30/2010 - Someone rated DBC's article "stub class". This is not a stub class article. It may be of "low importance" given your presumption of "WikiProject United States" but it is does not "provide[s] very little meaningful content [and it is not] little more than a dictionary definition." Therefore DBC has removed that rating. Dangnad (talk) 19:41, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It appears to be have been assessed as Stub class when the WikiProject banner for United States articles was added by User:Kumioko. This is a semi-automated process, sometimes these things are overlooked by accident. I have reassessed Akron News-Reporter as C class. Regards, Aeonx (talk) 14:21, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well...if you must, Aeonx. This is an informative and thorough article about a small-town, High-Plains newspaper and the newspaper family that had substantial influence in eastern Colorado for the first 70 years of the 20th century. If someone wants to know something about the Akron News-Reporter, they can find it here.

Change in Crofton Nebraska newspaper history

[edit]

DBC has found new information about the Crofton newspapers prior to 1911. Herbert Merton Cooley did not found the Crofton Journal. Instead he got into the newspaper business in Crofton with a partner, Mel Lawrence, to publish the Crofton Progress. Cooley became sole proprietor of the Crofton Journal in 1911.
